Travel Picking Up in 2010 For US
While travel experts predict that many cities around the globe are beginning to experience an upswing in travel, the best approach is to look for the soft spots and take your mini-vacations. One such example I discovered was through JetBlue. By search their tool for various cities and specials, I shopped till I found a round-trip ticket to San Francisco for $99. It is non-refundable, and that’s the price I am willing to pay. I shoped hotels till I found a quality room in a major city for around $139 per night. By traveling in the U.S. in March before the tourist season goes into full swing, I can travel for a day or two and spend around $300 total with the room, flight and taxis included. It’s not incredibly cheap, but then I opted for a nice hotel room. I could have saved $100 and actually booked a room for $50 for a night. But the quality of the room was important, so I was willing to pay more for nice decor, a central location and amenities such as one of the best views in the city.
You can find these sorts of deals, too. But what it will require from you is flexibility. You must be able to fly weekdays.
