Red Bull Crashed Ice is Back in Québec City!

Sharpen your skates, Red Bull Crashed Ice is back: bigger, badder, better! After holding 14 spectacular winter races in the last nine years, Red Bull Crashed Ice is becoming a World Championship in 2010. Two events are planned: the first at the Olympiapark in Munich, Germany on January 16, 2010 and the second in downtown Québec City on March 20, 2010. Since the year 2000, hundreds of thousands of spectators have flocked to these events, held in eight countries, with stops in Moscow, Prague, Lausanne and Québec City, of course!

A combination of hockey, boardercross and downhill skiing, Red Bull Crashed Ice offers amateur and professional hockey players (both men and women) a one-of-a-kind playground. Instead of facing off on a regular ice rink, the competitors careen down a 550 m long ice track running through the city, complete with crazy jumps, death-defying drops and hairpin turns!

This year, the athletes and spectators can expect another jaw-dropping transformation of the city and Côte de la Montagne, with exciting changes that will be revealed very soon!
