Where will the road take you this summer during your vacation?

As you plan your next vacation, do you wonder if you’ll have throngs of crowds to cope with this summer? If you attend a national park or visit a major city or beaches, the answer is you will not be alone.

In the United States tourists are going to go to the tried and true places, and destinations offering value. For instance, the top national parks such experienced a drop in tourism visits last year, but are expected to see an increase in 2009 thanks to lower gas prices. You may remember that gasoline reached an all time high of close to $4 per gallon in 2008. This year as we enter summer months, the gas prices are practically half that amount.

For those considering a vacation, drive trips are up in popularity and flights are down. Swine flu scare, increased airline prices and less amenites made this form of travel less desirable. Airlines are seeing decreases, but the roads are not.

Go out and have a good time this summer. You deserve it.
