Teach English for 2 Months in Exchange for Spain Vacation
The Spanish Government seeks volunteers to teach English to Spanish kids in Castile-Leon, Spain region (its capital is Valladolid .) While living in the quaint Spanish countryside, you will teach pre-schoolers and early elementary school students English, which is part of a project administered by Vaughan Systems in collaboration with the Spanish Government, bringing in native speakers from all corners of the world. Volunteers will be teaching assistants in classrooms in north central Spain, working with ages 3 and 8. In exchange, the project covers housing and offers a small monthly stipend, insurance plus opportunities for occasional weekend excursions and activities. The maximum stay for a volunteer is three months.
Positions are available in various locations throughout the Castile-Leon area. This area of Spain is one of the most emblematic in the history of the country. It is the home of El Cid and it was the area that most promoted the reconquest of the Spain from the Moors.
The pilot program kicks off on April 13, 2009. To apply, volunteers are requested to get in touch with project coordinator Mayte Ziga at mziga@vaughantown.com or visit vaughantown.com for more information. Founded by American Richard Vaughan, the company is the largest language training firm in Spain.

The southern area of Campania includes the city of Naples and there are several tourist destinations, including the Greek Temples at Paestrum, Sibyl’s Cave at Cumae, the Roman ruins at Pompeii and the volcanoes at Vesuvius. Holidays in Italy, whether in town or country, offer diversity, sunshine and a warm welcome from the friendly local people.
