Oregon Garden Resort Offers “Summer Sensations” Package Starting at $199
Includes Lodging for Two, Concert Tickets, Picnic Basket Meal and Admission to Adjacent 80-Acre Botanical Attraction
Silverton, OR—The Oregon Garden Resort is combining the sights, sounds and scents of the season into its new “Summer Sensations” package, which corresponds with the adjacent Oregon Garden ’s Summer Concert Series.
Ranging from $199 to $239 (depending on the evening’s concert), the package includes overnight accommodations for two; a pair of concert tickets in the VIP section with reserved sand chairs; a picnic basket for two with three menus from which to choose; breakfast for two at the resort restaurant; and admission for two to the Oregon Garden, an 80-acre botanical attraction that unfolds from the resort’s doorstep.

The Oregon Garden opened in 2008 in the small town of Silverton, 45 miles southeast of Portland. The resort is the only property in the Pacific Northwest located at a botanical garden. Featuring Craftsman-style architecture, the inn offers a full-service restaurant, day spa and meeting facilities. Silverton was recently named top 10 “Coolest Small Towns in America .”

Picnic Basket Menu Options:
“The Valley Girl”: A selection of fresh seasonal fruit and a variety of local cheeses served with a loaf of the resort’s fresh-baked bread.
“The Groupie”: A grilled panini sandwich made with a kalamata olive and sun-dried tomato spread with choice of grilled chicken or pulled pork and served with hazelnut raisin coleslaw.
“The Classic”: Four pieces of fried chicken accompanied by coconut ambrosia salad, the resort’s signature lime potato salad and homemade biscuits.

Friday, July 3 —Amy Clawson / J.R. Joe and the Farm (opening)
The Oregon Garden ’s July 3 celebration kicks off this year’s concert series with some of Oregon ’s finest country music. Nashville recording artist Amy Clawson headlines the evening’s entertainment while a fireworks show wraps up festivities at 10 p.m.
Thursday, July 9 —Three Dog Night / The Flextones (opening)
The legendary music icons of Three Dog Night enter their fourth decade of performing with founding members Cory Wells and Danny Hutton on lead vocals, and original band mates on keyboards and guitar. The band will recreate many of its 21 Top 40 singles that hit the charts from 1969 through 1974 including “Joy to The World,” “Shambala,” “Mama Told Me (Not To Come),” and “Celebrate.”
Wednesday, July 22 — Sam Bush / Grascals (opening)
Sam Bush extends the musical capabilities of the mandolin and the fiddle to incorporate a seamless blend of bluegrass, rock, jazz and reggae. As the founder and leader of the New Grass Revival, Bush pioneered and guided the evolution of modern hill country music. Opening act, the Grascals, shares its contemporary bluegrass sound, proving once again why they were chosen as the 2007 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Entertainers of the Year.
Thursday, July 30 — Crystal Gayle / Juice Newton (opening)
Time has been nothing but kind to the elegance of Crystal Gayle and her sweet and soaring melodies. From her number one hit, “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” to her latest much anticipated project—“All My Tomorrows”—a mood influenced collection of American standards, Crystal doesn’t disappoint. Opening act Juice Newton brings with her an energy that is never out of style with pop-country hits such as “Angel of the Morning,” “Queen of Hearts” and “Love’s Been A Little Bit Hard On Me.”
Thursday, August 6 —Swinging with Benny Goodman Jazz vocalist Terry Blaine, jazz pianist Mark Shane and acclaimed clarinetist Allan Vache celebrate Benny Goodman’s 100th birthday by performing the bandmaster’s beloved hits.
Tuesday, August 11 —Sawyer Brown
