Chris Mitchell was named vice president and publisher of Condé Nast Traveler effective immediately. Announced by Charles H. Townsend, President and C.E.O. of Condé Nast, Mitchell has been the Vice President and Publisher of Wired Media since April 2008, and before that, he was with Details, and also served as Associate Publisher of The New Yorker. Mitchell earned an M.A. in Publishing from New York University, and a B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley. He resides in Brooklyn with his wife, Pilar Guzman, Editor-in-Chief of Cookie magazine, and their two children. Condé Nast is owned by Advance Publications, and its empire of 23 consumer magazines.
