March marks the beginning of the travel season in the United States, just as Australians and those from other continents are wrapping up their summer trips and heading back home. An East Coast snow storm brought unexpected delays to the launch of the season, parts of the Midwest experienced intense rain, and the West and Southwest U.S. had sunny weather. Entering Spring, a time known for rain in most parts of the country, there’s still plenty of opportunity to begin booking your summer plans. Peak travel will begin around the last week of May and continue through early September.
